Glissando's older brother, Legato, is getting married!

The all-gnome Eberron party will be traveling to the Eldeen Reaches to attend the wedding. Here is an image of the betrothed couple:

Gwen and Legato.jpg

The bride is a halfling, while the groom is a gnome. I had a real hard time getting DALL-E to make them roughly the same height.

Here is Arekla, the fiendish harpy antagonist of "Wedding Bells". Since I am running this adventure in Eberron, I have made her a priestess of the Fury. I managed to get a decent-looking holy symbol by asking for a "medallion resembling a crimson caduceus".

This image has been slightly modified from what DALL-E gave me. I used Photoshop to remove an extra amulet above the main one, and I swapped in the more fiendish-looking face from one of the other iterations. (The one that came with this image looked undead rather than fiendish.)

Several of the other iterations were NSFW. Even though I never used the term "harpy" in the prompts, it seemed to understand what I was getting at and frequently gave me unclothed (or partially unclothed) creatures, just like you might find in some official D&D books ...

Here is Jikk Hardwalk, elderly halfling druid and Warden of the Wood. She will be marrying the happy couple pictured above.

I asked for a dusty farm lane and it gave me snow ... ah well. Since I am setting this version of "Wedding Bells" in the Eldeen Reaches, I am considering making her donkey an awakened animal who can talk.

Experiment Time! I have been cleaning up my Fantasy Artisan Digital Assistant's Instructions. I was not getting consistent use of the prompt guidelines, set defaults, and a host of other issues. I also wanted to test out using Generation ID that each DALL-E image is assigned to see if I could make a consistent character.
NATURAL LANGUAGE REQUEST: Stout, short dwarf woman with freckles, red hair, and a plaited red beard. She is dressed in a plain, dwarven crafted leather adventure's outfit and boots, a colorful handkerchief keeps her hair in place, a round metal shield is slung across her back, and a sword sheathed at her left side. Around her neck is the holy symbol of her god, the forge father, which is a stylized smith's hammer.

My default instructions will create 4 images (the 1st is the prompt requested and the other three are variations on the request).

Requested Prompt:

Variations:

I liked the first one here is the info generated for it:
GENERATED PROMPT: A digital painting of a stout, short dwarf woman with freckles and red hair, plaited red beard. Dressed in a dwarven crafted leather adventure's outfit, boots, and a colorful handkerchief holding her hair. A round metal shield slung across her back, and a sword sheathed at her left side. Around her neck, the holy symbol of the forge father, a stylized smith's hammer, in a mystical forest setting, dappled sunlight filtering through the trees, casting soft shadows. Drawn with bold colors, high-detail textures, fantasy-inspired art style.
GENERATION ID: vf4JLrKQXjPpFyG3
MIDJOURNEY CODE: /imagine prompt:A digital painting of a stout, short dwarf woman with freckles and red hair, plaited red beard. Drawn with: bold colors, high-detail textures, fantasy-inspired art style, fantasy artisan prompt, hd quality, natural look --ar 1:1

Ok, so now I have a Prompt I can make small alterations and a generation ID: as a reference.

MODIFIED PROMPT: Everything looks great, face features and art style. let's try to keep everything the same from vf4JLrKQXjPpFyG3 except change it to a village market place.

New image side by side with original:

Variations where I just change her eye color to bright green.
1700820077520.png1700820180623.png1700820290111.png

And my dwarf woman at the beach...

She looks pretty consistent. I am sure if I was way more precise in my descriptions of her clothing or kept the clothing simple the consistency would be even higher.

Additional NPCs from my version of "Wedding Bells":

Savil, the half-elven mayor of Dockalong

Honesty, the shifter sheriff of Dockalong

Willon, wood elf bard and the mayor's "eyes and ears" around town:

And this is the closest I could get for Laggo, the satyr who was raised by the townsfolk only to be cast out after he caused too much trouble. Feeling hurt and rejected, he has 'befriended' Arekla the harpy. During the adventure, he crashes the wedding reception. If the PCs play their cards right, he can lead them to the harpy.
