It’s not, he was talking general Hasbro there. and there is no indication he plans to do anything with AI and WotC. He just says he’s optimistic about AI in the future.

I don’t think anything AI related to D&D will happen for a while. Particularly since WotC themselves are not interested.
That was a joke, related to the idea of combining Peppa Pig and D&D.

Given ridiculous and unnecessary defensive bonuses and an arguably religious insensitive name?
The equation between computers and golems is Jewish enough.

There is even a story I heard that I am unsure how to confirm or disconfirm. The story as I remember it goes like this.

Early on while people were still pioneering computers, there were three computer scientists who met up with each other, each who happen to descend from the Maharal of Prague, the renaissance rabbi reputed to have formed a golem. All of the three agreed that their own work on computers is a continuation of the golem of their ancestor. All three also had a private family tradition passed down from the Maharal for the kabala formula for how to create a golem. When they compared their formulas with each other, two out of the three were in agreement.

For me, this legend (factual or not) is about the centrality of human imagination. If humans imagine something, humans can eventually make it happen. In this sense, imagination is as important as reality. Human imagination catalyzes and shapes reality.

The golem tradition itself refers to the creation of Adam. The name Adam literally means "humanity", including male and female. The word golem means a "clump". (Like, if one grabs a handful of change, without knowing how many quarters, dimes, nickles, or pennies, it is a "clump" of coins.) We, humanity, are the first golem, shaped from a clump of wet clay. This first golem was given the breath of Divinity, genuine human consciousness and life. So far, humans can come close. But the golems created by humans still lack the Divine consciousness.

The earlier golems lacked the capacity of speech. Soon the AI golem will have speech.

Okay? Really don't think that required a clapback, but go off, I guess.

But I'm not going to consent to being one of those fights you pick.

Nor were you, since you were the one that actually made the distinction. However, when you essentially tell me not to bother arguing with others that do, don't be surprised if I tell you I don't need your help.

The way I see it. Humans will either learn how to be compassionate, or the human species will go extinct. There is no in between.

I suspect humans will learn how to be compassionate. Especially. As the consequences of the lack of compassion become increasingly obvious.
We've had the whole of human history to learn this. The likelihood of us suddenly learning this in the next decade or so is effectively zero. The next decade being important because if we don't learn compassion and act immediately to minimize climate change, the environment dies and takes us with it.

I feel there are two ways that the human species will learn how to be compassionate:
• The difficult way
• The painful way

Or as my friend phrases it: "If youre gonna be stupid, you better be tough."

Regarding climate change. It is reality. In Norway, we see it happening with our own eyes.

However, I dont believe humans are causing it, global cooling and global warming happen with or without humans.

In any case, rational humans need to figure out how to adapt to survive when there is less coastal land. Such as, aquatic cities and so on.
