D&D 5E Dragonix's Deadly Denizens Volume II is NOW AVAILABLE at DrivethruRPG!

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Feb Art Preview #2: Two months ago, my patrons voted on which automaton they'd like to see, and the Balor came out on top. Presenting the Balor Automaton—a formidable mechanical guardian that would make a perfect bodyguard for our earlier Necroficer!

Deadly Denizens Vol. III Feb Art Preview #3. The February issue brings two new demons to the spotlight, and first up is the terrifying Lamashtu! This fiend thrives on suffering, spreading misery and madness with calculated cruelty and predatory hunger. She preys on the most vulnerable—pregnant women, their unborn children, and young toddlers—marking them before slipping into the Ethereal Plane, where she haunts their dreams and slowly erodes their will to live. Her hunt is relentless, ending only in death as she feasts upon their souls.

Also featured in this Boss Issue is the True Lamashtu, a once-mighty Demon Queen who was betrayed and cast from power. Now, she seethes in the shadows, plotting her vengeful return and seeking to reclaim her lost dominion. Those who dare stand in her way will face the wrath of a goddess of despair, reborn in darkness.

Deadly Denizens Vol. III March Art Preview #1: Green Dragon Turtle

March will be a month of untamed wilderness—where the deep greens of forests, jungles, and swamps conceal lurking dangers. This month, expect your denizens to emerge from the shadows of these perilous landscapes, ready to strike from the heart of nature’s deadliest domains.

First up is the Green Dragon Turtle, seen here ambushing an owlbear in the shallow waters and about to drag it into the murky depths!

Deadly Denizens Vol. III March Art Preview #2: Expanding this month's verdant horrors is the Swamp Chimera—a monstrous fusion of black dragon, black panther (jaguar), and water buffalo! Though it may be the weakest among chimera variants, it had unmatched stealth. Lurking in the murky depths and dense undergrowth, this cunning predator strikes unseen, turning the swamps into a lethal hunting ground.

Deadly Denizens Vol. III March Art Preview #3: A dreaded figure in Slavic folklore, the Vodyanoy
March2.png
is an amphibious predator that haunts the murky depths of backwaters and marshy lakes. With webbed claws, a bloated, algae-covered body, and glowing eyes, it snatches and drowns unsuspecting travelers, feasts on their corpses, and drags their souls to its watery lair, where they remain trapped in eternal servitude.

Physically, that resembles the umber hulk a little bit, and I believe in the 1E Monster Manual II, they were aquatic umber hulks. Are you going with that interpretation with yours, or is it just a matter of hulking monsters all looking alike to an extent?
