D&D General Unseen servant drums

Strange question. Could my bard setup a drum and have the unseen servant tap the drum while my bard plays say a lute. A simple task could be tapping in a drum in rhythm

And with a Strength of 2 they won't make booming loud percussion, but yes they could keep a beat.

For funsies, I would ask you for a Performance check with disadvantage because your drums can't keep a beat.

But I'd also say that it will have no musicality. No stress on the beat. No dynamics. No exact tempo. You can give it commands like "faster" or "quieter" every 6 seconds.

I feel like there is, or was, a cantrip that provided this sort of musical accompaniment in the past. You'd be doing your bard a solid to let them discover this "lost" spell and add it to their repertoire, at least in the form of a wand.

D&D 3.0's Song and Silence had a Bard cantrip named percussion that lasted 5 minutes per level. It provided the backing beat for their songs, and the caster could change the tempo and the volume.
