Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.

Nope. I was simply stating the reality that people of different opinions and perspectives on what is trash and what is treasure.

Rather odd that you would jump to insults though.

I wasn't insulting, so I apologize if you feel that way. Thought, if I "read" as insulting, it's because I'm not happy. It's not an easy thing to process that your 14 years old campaign is now dead. I will heal, over time. But today the wound hurts.

When death and tyranny reign supreme...
When there's no epic-level NPCs to save the day...
One rat, in one city...
Is all that stands against the tide of darkness spreading across Faerûn!

From the creatures chapter of Adventures in Faerun, a picture for NPC cultists of evil deities. No, the rat isn't secretly a hero or something, but the framing of the illustration is placing an unintended amount of importance on the furry lil critter.

Sorry your are not happy, but I fail to understand how this book could kill your campaign. Can you clarify? I mean, at worst case scenario you could simply not buy this book or ignore the parts you don't like correct?

My autistic brain works like that, lol. Once I don't like something, everything related to it enter that "something" area. For my brain, Tymanther is destroyed. I can try to think otherwise, but I know it will be difficult to change that idea.

It happened the same with Dragon Age The Veilguard. Once I learned that game destroyed the country of the first Dragon Age, I can't enjoy said game. The Dragon Age Origins game had been my favorite for years. Now, I can't get pass the origins stories before losing interest.

The peculiarities of autism, I guess.
