Classic Traveller was my second (after AD&D). I still remember leaving my mother shopping to head for the back shelves in the San Diego Naval Exchange in case a new Little Black Book had come out....

I'm not sure which of Gamma World (1e) or Tunnels and Trolls came third, but those had to be solo play since no-one else was really keen to try them. Runequest (3e) was a bit later, along with its BRP cousins like Ringworld. Then Shadowrun (1e).

It wasn't until college that I ran across my favorite, GURPS (3e); I picked up the Cyberpunk genre book as inspiration for my Shadowrun campaign, then saw and immediately bought the Uplift worldbook, and only then picked up the Basic Set.

I started in 1984 with B/X and quickly switched to AD&D. My brothers were collectors and already had TSR's Top Secret and Star Frontiers along with other games. It wasn't even months before I grabbed up whatever I could find at the local game store. FASA's Star Trek RPG and TSR's Marvel Super Heroes were two of my first purchases. Played the living hell out of both.

I think DnD was my send RPG, the first being the advanced fighting fantasy book, played a few good games of that with friends in high school before moving to the dnd rules cyclopedia.

I'm no longer sure, but it was either original Traveller or Gamma World 2e. A DM at our college D&D club decided to mix those 2 into an existing AD&D 1e campaign. I know I played them both in 1984, but which got played 1st is more than my grey cells can muster. I just remember it being one heckuva of a crazy campaign, that somehow our DM pulled off. I do remember we spent far more time with Gamma World than Traveller.

If we're not counting D&D and AD&D as separate games, it's DC Heroes 2nd edition.
