Wizards of the Coast has hired yet another D&D game designer - this time UK-based designer Taylor Navarro. Navarro announced that she was joining the D&D team this week on BlueSky. Navarro notably was a winner of the Diana Jones Emerging Designer Award back in 2024 and has worked for Ghostfire Gaming and Evil Hat in addition to working on several DMs Guild projects. Some of her most notable works was contributing to the DMs Guild publication Journeys Beyond the Radiant Citadel and publishing Not Yet: A Romantic Duet TTRPG.

Navarro is the fourth D&D game designer to join Wizards of the Coast in recent weeks, with James Haeck, Leon Barillaro, and Erin Roberts also announcing that they've joined D&D in a similar game designer capacity. Additionally, Justice Ramin Arman was promoted to Game Design Director of the group.

Every book has fans. The book achieved only average sales when it was first released. To me, that's not selling well.
I asked how you know this? I couldn't find sales data, where did you get yours? You just ignored that question. So what should I assume:
  1. You lied and have no idea about the sales data
  2. You made a mistake
  3. other

Also, you seem to be moving the goal post by suggesting having average sales is "not selling well." First, that wasn't the question and, second, if something is not doing well that is usually less than average IME.

Ok, I think I’ve officially lost touch with the current D&D and RPG publishing space. This is the 4th appointment in a row that I’ve had to Google the person as I’d never heard from them before.

I hope they do well, and hiring people much better than the usual firing we see at this time of the year. I just have no idea who any of them are.

Do you normally know a lot about the people who have worked on D&D, when it was early in their time there? Honest question.

Do you know the trope of husband saying to his wife "you don't cook like my mother"? Or there is a familiar gathering and you can notice the difference when the cook is the grandma or her daughters because the same recipe with the same ingredients has got a different taste.

My complain is if I want adventures in an urban zone this should be a true megalopolis like a capital city. We are in the age of urban sandbox videogames like Grand Thief Auto or Night City from Cyberpunk 2077.

The arcanes created a demiplane for interplanar trade, Union. (It appeared in the 3.5 Handbook of epic Levels) to be the rival of Sigil(Planescape). I can't believe a newcomer could arrive to replace olders. We need space for everybody.

I would add a lot of floating islands around the Radiant Citadel, a little of "commuter town" but also for mining, farms or ultrasecret laboratories.

I mean, I think getting new blood onboard is kind of the point.
