There are more votes for some systems here than there have been threads on the same systems in the last 12 months.

This is an intentionally silly survey, but if people want some of these systems to be part of the discussion at ENWorld, the best way to do that would probably be to start some threads and to participate in them when they happen.
Well, its interesting to me because some of these ive talked to death about. I dont need fresh threads ever flowing for my choices. I picked purely on could play from here until eternity. Meaning, I left many systems I love on the block. Ones that are either newer or get talked about a lot I dont think gives them any more relevance to the question.

I think a lot of these d20 fantasy games could have been grouped together, but whatever...

I voted for 5E (which I've probably played more than any other game at this point), Cortex (I've only played Marvel Heroic Roleplyaing a handful of times but I found the system mind-expanding), and Shadow of the Demon Lord is my favorite not-D&D (despite the yuck factor).

Honorable mention to Year Zero. Neat system that has been smartly adapted to many settings to create a gritty, grounded experience.

I think the problem is that it could have only been that way if there was just one "d20" option. Once the door was opened to account for "3e is different than 5e" (which it clearly is), it opened the door for the many "how is X different than Y" d20 games. It reminds me of an "evolutionary tree of RPGs" I saw someone put together --- there's no clear "generation" to root the question in.

I’m not sure why, but I find it interesting that both GURPS and Savage Worlds are “#2” in the survivor list with exactly the same percentage. I’d be curious about the overlap between the people whose chose those two systems. It might be the same 11 people.

I know the last couple of years my gaming has gravitated towards them, and we still play PF1-currently Shattered Star.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I would have potentially been a Savage World but not GURPs voter, due to SW being a much less crunchy kitchen-sink game. But I’m not playing Savage Worlds anymore.

SWADE is my go-to for anything i don't necessarily have a bespoke game for.

SWADE would probably be my #4 (edged out by Cypher System residing in roughly the same space in my usage), but I would probably put GURPS the system at the bottom of my list of what I've played. It's just too much for me. I like their setting/genre books though.
