I hear what you are saying, I just fundamentally disagree. The less fluff in the core rules the better. See: Shadowdark. But your still stripping stuff out regardless. I'd rather the game give me a default place for a samurai or a psion or a tabaxi then to dump the options into the next player book and tell DMs "you figure out where it fits."
If everyone follows this advice, this forum is about to get a lot quieter.People should stop wasting their own time if you ask me, LOL! One either likes the brand or they don't. Hoping for, or trying to change a brand into what one likes is silly.
I'm confident my players would be thrilled to run full campaigns in either San Citlan or Zinda. Both are so great. It would be cool to see a series of Radiant Citadel anthologies, that both expand and add new concord worlds thus allowing any and all settings to be tied in.
Nope, the current system of seasons is a book or two, plus peripherals, plus marketing theme, plus Encounters, plus maybe AL, plus maybe modules
i think a DnD LoZ setting would go hard.If Hasbro loves licencing then a "D&D Legend of Zelda" or a "Warcraft 5.5 by WotC shouldn't be impossible.
In the interim, people wanting a Zelda-inspired tabletop RPG have at least three choices: Twilight Sword, Reclaim the Wild and Break!!i think a DnD LoZ setting would go hard.
I have never owned a Nintendo console. Does LoZ resemble D&D in any significant way? I thought they were action games, not RPGs.In the interim, people wanting a Zelda-inspired tabletop RPG have at least three choices: Twilight Sword, Reclaim the Wild and Break!!
Yep, it's an RPG. It was pretty simple at first, but it's gotten progressively more involved. And it's always put a big emphasis on puzzle solving, much moreso than on intricate combat.I have never owned a Nintendo console. Does LoZ resemble D&D in any significant way?
