Round 2
Somac can now see the guard. He is a goblin. He stands at the edge of the parapet, just before it crumbled and collapsed. The barbarian pulls out his bow (dropping his sword?) and fires, just clipping the goblin, and doing no serious damage.
Irene picks up speed and attempts to long jump the moat. She clears it without difficulty.
Ashnar tries to make the best of his wet situation, by swimming the rest of the way across. It's not far, but he finds the going slow, the water cold, the rocks slippery where they meet the moat. As he kicks and reaches with his hands, he manages to grasp the rocky inside shore and pull his head up. Next round, he can try to climb up to the shore.
Tenebryn struggles to climb the loose stones. He slips and falls to his knees, making no progess.
Nurlan, Charlyn and Tor all jump the moat. Tor makes some progress up the rocky embackment on the other side. He can see that the slope ends some 10 feet up from the moat, and over the rocks is a mostly dark room with no enemies visible within from his limited vantage. It might be possible to continue climbing up towards the parapet where the goblin archer stands, but that would be another 10 feet climbing, and it gets steeper and narrower that direction.
The goblin releases another arrow at Somac, missing badly, while still blowing on the whistle clasped in his teeth.
Rinaldo climbs higher than Tor, and could leap over the collapsed wall and into the room beyond next round.
