Need a Pirate Ship for your miniatures, check this bad boy out...

Agreed on that. I was in China in September and saw a ton of good model ships that would be great for a pirate or high seas RPG campaign. Good detail on the models, and a more appropriate scale for your average minis. Prices were $50 - $100. (I've seen ones here in the US that were probably imported for China go for 5 to 10 times those prices...)

Unfortunately, how do you bring that home from China without paying at least the purchase price in shipping?

But it doesn't strike me as odd that there are no bids yet.

How many people walk into their living room and think, "What this room really needs is an eleven foot long pirate ship"?

I started making boats for gaming.

Got to a decent prototype and technique but couldn't find someone to market them for me.

Here is a 30 minute example of what can be done with resin and stain. Off scale, just to show it can be done cheaply and well. Rowboat-

Just stick it in a bottle. That'll protect it.

Apparently one person has.

It is indeed very cool looking, but just what would you do with it?

I know my cats would look at it as a jungle gym for kitties.
