Curse of House Thimbrall (orsal judging)

Round 2

Since there was one baddie left that wasn't charmed, I decided to go ahead and finish this.

And for the record Levin, I already posted this before I saw your post, so you didn't use your psionic power ;) .

Mechanics:
[sblock]
Levin hits AC 22 (threat, confirm: 14 (yes)) on R5 for 14, killing him.

End of combat.
[/sblock]

Kamdar looks at his rapier, surprised he was able to fell his foe in one stab -- his song stutters and stops. <I... I wonder if he'll be okay. We can't kill them all, can we? At least, I want to know why they attacked us.> He looks around frantically, seeing another of the rogues in combat. He drops his rapier and pulls out his bow, hesitating on the shot.

Music bonus still up for 5 more rounds, drop weapon (free), draw weapon (move), going to shoot the rogue as he tries to run away -- say, when he's moved 30' feet away

OOC: Nevermind. :D

Boog:[sblock]Keep occupying that Rogue, we'll surround him and force a surrender[/sblock]Kamdar tries to get everyone's attention, "Hey, everyone, let's surround this last one -- maybe we can get him to talk?"

At that, Boog laughed and gave the sole remaining rogue a friendly squeeze on the shoulder. He smiled as he called out in a playfully chastening voice, "Now, now, Kamdar, no need for threats. My friend knows that he's safer here with me than trying to outrun all of us at once."

Turning to the rogue, he lowered his voice and did his best to appear sympathetic. "I'm sorry about your companions, but they really picked the wrong group to try to ambush. I'm just glad that you're all right. We must have met before, but I can't recall where. I'm Boog Sammas", he said as he offered a handshake to the rogue.

Nodding to the site of the ambush and all the carnage, he continued. "So, friend, just what was that all about back there? We meant them no harm. Why were those others so keen to fill us all full of arrows?"

ao'Thuir stands truimphantly over his latest kill and says, "That was far to easy, bandits should really try to gage their targets a bit better. Hopefully those undead will proove more of a challenge."

The rogue says, "No, you were the right group to ambush, what with the gnome and mountain goblin and all. We were hired by some crazy guy named Xyran, mage by the looks of him, with his robes and his rat on his shoulder. Said, 'Look for a group with a gnome, wood elf, and a mountain goblin, they're the guys you're to get, the whole lot of them. Bring me back trinkets from them and you'll get your money,' that's what he said. They don't look so bad to me," he says, smiling in the direction of Kamdar. "That's the truth, or I'm not Fredlar Wiggums," he says matter of factly.

"But, he... how long can you..." Kamdar seems taken aback by the situation, by sighs and puts his weapons away. After the rogue finishes speaking, he returns the smile, although half-heartedly as the battle has weighed heavily on his mind, "Fredlar, where did you meet this Xyran? I do not expect anyone not from Orussus would have that much detail about our group. Also, when and where are you supposed to meet him again to give him our "trinkets"?"

Levin, PsyWarrior 1

"Well, thats probably the grandson of the wizard who cast the curse we're trying to break. Hope he doesn't have any more suprises for us. By the way, ao'Thuir, theres no such thing as too easy when your in a real fight."
Levin looks Fredlar over, making sure that he really is surrendering and that there won't be any surprises.

"Does anyone have some healing skills or spells? Jann looks like he took a serious hit and I'm not in the best of shape either."

OOC: Spot and Sense Motive, both +3. Did Levin notice that Boog was manifesting and if so, could he tell what power Boog used?

OoC: To answer Levin's question, everyone in the party heard two distinct "chime" sounds that seemed to come from inside their heads instead of outside their ears. The first was just before Kamdar started singing, the second just before the arrows started to fly.

As for precisely what Boog did, I think you need to make a Psicraft check to know that...check with Animus.

"I am afraid that I have no skill in the healing arts. But in combat if you are not dead, then it was too easy." replies ao'Thuir.
