Storage for Individual Minis

I just thought of this and it seems like a good idea...

You can buy 60-piece packs of Juicy Fruit gum that come in little plastic containers with two lids (one small, one large). It's the perfect size for transporting a couple D&D minis to your next game (especially if they're metal and you don't want them getting crushed in your gaming bag).

I use fishing tackle boxes. Great for the plastics.
Yeah, but if you only want to carry one or two, it's overkill. Ogrork's idea seems good. You might be able to use Altoids tins, too.

I bad them by catagory and toss then into a big tupperwear container
Bagging them by type is what I've seen most often for plastic minis.

For painted metal minis, I get a little more cautious so the paint doesn't scratch off. I bought a bunch of the plastic dice cases, glue a piece of tin into the bottom and attach a magnet to the base of the mini so it stays up in the case.

For storing them at home, I store them in Acro Mils Large Storage Bins, shown in attached pic (don't be fooled by the "Large" title - they're only about 14" x 10" x 2"). If I'm taking a whole bunch somewhere, I'll leave them in their bin and take appropriate bins with me. (I have thousands of the plastic suckers now, so bins are marked are thematic by type: "Aberrations", "Orcs", "Goblins", "Human Fighters", "Magic-Users", "Spiders", etc.)

If I'm taking only a few with me, I'll toss them in a plastic bag, or if I'm taking enough to matter, I'll use multiple bags to separate the different types, and maybe throw the bags in a hard plastic case (like a shoe box sized one).

I use smallish cardboard boxes that have closing flaps. Usually th size of a Huge DDM booster pack. I have a few plastic cases as well.

Those look like my tackle box bait boxes I get for a bit of nothing at the Bass Pro Shop.

That's a lot of storage boxes you have there, no matter how big or small they are! ;)

I keep the majority of my D&D minis in snap lock bags, sorted by type (i.e. undead, animals, dwarves, elves, heavily armoured humans, etc.,). These bags are then put in a plastic tub. My huge minis sit loose on the bottom of the tub.

In addition to that I bought 4 Plano tackle boxes (2 bigger ones for the large minis, 2 smaller ones for the medium to tiny minis) to store most of my Rares and frequently used minis in. I am just about out of space in my plastic tub. :o
