Wizards.com and Enworld.org Announce Joint Website Crashes

(AP) Enworld.org, Representatives of Wizards of the Coast and Enworld announced today that they plan to pre-emptively crash their websites on June 7th, 2008. That date is the expected release date of the 4th edition of the Dungeons and Dragons game. A joint spokesperson announced, "It's just the right thing to do. We would prefer that angry, uptight, impatient, semi-autistic gamers ACTUALLY have someone to blame for the site crashes so they can get it off their chests on IRC discussion forums in the meanwhile." Neither WotC, nor Enworld would make further comment.

Now, wait just a minute!...

The Mayans said that the world was ending in late 2012. This is about four and a half years too early!

The world is always ending according to someone. I believe if we Google it we can find a person or a group of people saying the world is going to end this year, and if we really spend some time, we can even find a scheduled armageddon for June the 7th, for the joke's convenience!

There will be 3 core books.
Subtract 1 from the day and 2 from the year (1+2 = 3 core books) the date becomes 060606 or 666!!!

Pffffft.....I expect EN World to possibly crash tomorrow night at midnight EST when the multiclassing excerpt goes live. Perhaps only a ritual excerpt could generate more traffic.
