"You'll pay for this, bandits!" Brock roars in anger as he sees Iridian go down.

He charges the kobold in front of the spellcaster, striking it with a mighty hammer blow and driving it back with his shield. He tries to do so again but misses.

[sblock=ooc]tide of iron vs DS at Y13; 19 vs AC, 9 damage.

Use AP to try it again, 9 vs AC (miss)

HP 33/33, AC 19, Fort 16, Reflex 13, Will 12, HS left: 13, 8 hp/HS

[sblock=ooc]I just realized Brock should have attacked KD2 as that one is bloodied, but I guess it's too late to change.[/sblock]

Zaram swings his blade towards the kobold, "Stay still coward!" His blade becomes a beacon of bright light and his divine empowerment makes the blow swing with the full force of the Dragon Above's blessing.

[sblock=Actions]Holy strike on KD2. Using divine strength(minor, encounter, +4 damage as well). Move action remaining(Does all marking require it to be done every round? I will mark if needed.) If the kobold moves away, I may change my action, let me know. 13 to hit, 10 damage... I may action pt using radiant smite, depending on kobolds actions.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]It's my personal opinion that this move is better. The defender role is about a lot more than "focus fire". To be honest, the Kobold would probably have charged Adain, which would have been pretty sucky tactically.
(his AC is 15, yours is 19, he's injured, you aren't. He doesn't do a lot of damage in melee, has low vs. AC attacks (and ranged attacks trigger AoOs) and can't shift away from the KD once it's on him.)

I haven't taken any actions yet so I'm not sure what will happen, but the fact of the matter is that the KD -can't- go run around in your backfield with you up on their leader.

Just my two cents.

The Kobold wearing the skull headress begins to jabber wildly howling and exhorting it's compatriots.[sblock=Draconic]Again difficult to pick out full sentences, if the creature is even speaking grammatically. You can pull out
The greatest dragon who dwells below[/sblock]
The dragonshields struggle to follow it's instructions, the one on Zaram goes into a gibbering frenzy stabbing the paladin, before slithering off. It's compatriot also finds a chink in the dwarf's defenses, managing to drive it's spear into the dwarf's arm pit. The Tyron's "partner" somehow manages to divine his location, stabbing quite near him to little avail.

[sblock]I will use an action point after (what I assume is a miss) in my previous post. How does the heal skill work when using it in combat to have an ally use a healing surge?[/sblock]

After his blade of light passes widely by the kobold's head, Zaram calls out, "Adain help Iridian!" His adrenaline kicks in and he swings once more his blade a glowing beacon.

[sblock=Actions]In response to the kobold's move before my turn I will approach the kobold from the south, hopefully forcing it to shift, so I can get into flanking position with Brock. Use AP to use radiant smite(encounter). 16 to hit. 13 damage [/sblock]

[sblock=Dragonshield AC=18]So yeah, a 13 is a miss.

I've tossed up a bit about healing here, to tide us over till people get the books. It's a standard action.[/sblock]

Torn

Tyron reatreats further from the from persuing the kobold, still blurring and attacks his sight and mind again.
[sblock=ooc]Moves to T11 (concealment), Eyebite KD3

Eyebite (again) (hit, damage, curse) (1d20+7=27, 1d6+4=9, 1d6=1)

Yeaah, another crit :D
Crit = Max Damage :D 16 psychic damage, blinded.

If it is enough to down him, I will mark KD2 and teleport to V8.

[sblock=IC loves WD]It would be enough to down him... except for the temporary hitpoints. KD3 is in a bad way. And blind obviously.[/sblock]
