Gygaxian Goodness

I have been hearing rumors of a review by a person with the on line name of Grodog for weeks now. One post on Necromancer Games' message board even indicated just a couple of more days. A couple of weeks ago.
;)

I've been busy, and the review has continued to grow (and grow...) as I dig into the product more :p

But I am nearly done

I've heard this before. I'll keep a shaker of salt handy! ;)

Actually, I am kind of getting scared at how everyone who has posted about it is raving about its awesomeness. I am going to order it for my Christmas present no matter what, but I do want to know what you think. Even Yamo's review seemed to be intentionally wrapping/containing some serious enthusiasm.

Anyways, I just hope I am blown away when I finally see it in my grubby hands.

I'm amazed you don't have it already, Treebore!

Anyway, just for you and all the other Gygax fans out there...

Cheers!

Finances, Merric, finances. Fortunately I will get some breathing room come Christmas time, which should remain well past it as well, so I will hopefully be able to buy my gaming stuff in a more timely fashion again soon after the new year begins.

I have every intention of getting this by Christmas time though.

Curses you villain, posting the map! Must... resist... urge... to buy... I don't even play C&C, and it's got me scheming (hmmm, how to convert to 4E....)

Anyway know if there are plans for follow-on adventures too?

I'm currently converting it to 4e. It isn't that difficult.

There are plans for the deeper levels, hopefully in the not-so-distant future, but Gary's death has thrown a spanner in the works: it's not that the levels aren't nearly complete, but rather that his family is reclaiming control of his IP. This has meant that Troll Lord Games no longer can distribute Legendary Adventures (I don't know what that means for LA, but I suspect it will shortly be a dead system); that's why I could pick both the Hermit and Hall of Many Panes up at the basement price of $5 and $10.

Castle Zagyg? We don't know, and it's making some of us very nervous.

Cheers!

Ah yes - I understand finances (or rather, the lack of them) only too well. It's only in the past few months I've even had a credit card - with a very small limit - and have been able to order stuff online.

Cheers!
