I crit!
There are still the cards (not condition cards). At big cons RPGA coordinators can request a bunch of swag including some of these. Some of which are NOT available via the PDF they give out. I think it has to be a really fraking big con. But I think there are different levels...

I'll see if I can find the page.

Ok, here's some pictures. Sorry for the confusion, but what you get is a Dark Sun-themed box for minis, not actual minis. The box is small, about 5-6 inches wide and it is has cover art from the upcoming DS books. It probably won't hold all of your minis collection unless you're starting out, but it works great to transport your "loadout" for a particular adventure. The cards are in the style of power cards, with the name of the condition, the rules, and an appropriate image.

So help me out here - is this a reward for actually running RPGA games (which I won't get) or the yearly reward all GM:s get (like Village of Hommlet was)?

Feels a little early to be the latter.

As I understand it, they send out rewards twice a year. For each RPGA game session you run and report, private or public, you get a number of reward points (each of my private home sessions has given me one point). You have to accumulate 5 points before a deadline to get the reward.

The reporting part is important. I didn't get the ship tiles because I forgot to report one session and didn't make the cut :(

Yeah, I get that much. So this box is one of those.

They also send out a reward every year just for being registered as a Herald-level GM at their site. Village of Hommlet 4E was one of those.

How does one get into the RPGA/DCI without going to an event or hosting one? I didn't see anything on the site. I'd love to sign up and use my home game to get involved, and I'm even willing to occasionally run events at a local game store, but I'm not sure if the LGS would even be interested.

Somehow I got sent another copy of the Village of Hommlett. Any one know what I can do to get this straightened out? I want those minis and condition cards.

As a rule of thumb there are two kinds of DM Rewards:

1) A free adventure every year.
You get this for joining the DM Rewards program and/or for updating your information annually. These tend to get mailed out around the same time that "regular" DM Rewards are mailed.

In theory I think there's supposed to be a different free adventure every year - if you signed up for DM Rewards in the last few months, your Village of Homlet might be for that. I don't have a confirmation that there's a new adventure for this year, however, so it might just be that Homlet is what's still circulating.

2) DM Rewards.
Every six months DMs who earned 5 points (by running 5+ sessions of RPGA play) should receive the current Rewards Mailing - this go-round it's the Dark-Sun box and Condition Cards.

If I were to guess, you got your Homlet, and you'll be getting a Dark Sun box and Condition Cards if you ran 5+ slots. These are mailed out fairly slowly over the course of a few weeks, so give it until mid-March.

If, come mid-March you haven't receive the box/cards and you believe you should have, contact Customer Service and they'll help make sure your account is setup right and verify points/etc.

Hope that helps!

It's as easy as filling out the form here: http://www.wizards.com/Company/WPN/Default.aspx

One of the things that helped me "sell" RPGA/WPN play to my FLGS was pointing out that these aren't (usually) all-day long games - which is what my store owner didn't want. These are regular, but compact 4-5 hour events for people to play. They get in, try stuff out, drool over each other's new books/dice/minis - buy stuff, and go home.

Anyhow, if you have any questions on joining the WPN, feel free to poke me here - or better still, post in the RPGA forums on WotC's site: http://community.wizards.com/go/forum/viewcategory/75854/RPGA]Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible . Myself or someone else will be more than happy to answer questions over there. :)
