Chey levels her rod at the zombie engaged with Miranna and unleashes an arcane bolt that tears a decent chunk out of its chest.

The zombies charge into those who entered the room. Miranna is able to take advantage of an opening to score a light hit on one of the undead, but another repays her in kind.

From the northwest passage another shambling corpse stumbles into view.

Chey Curses Brute 54 and uses Eldritch Blast. Phew, that was close! Hits for 18 damage, Brute 54 is bloodied.

Brute 15 charges Yishim, drawing an OA from Miranna which hits for 7 damage. Weak, Brute 15. Very unimpressive.

Brute 54 attacks Miranna, hypothetically, and then shifts to Y,-16.

Brute 74 charges Miranna, and bless him for trying. Wait, I forgot about CA! He hits! For an incredible 6 damage. Those were some appalling damage rolls from the three Brutes.

Oh, and Brute 33 sticks his moldering head around the corner.

Miranna growled in annoyance as the zombies moved in. "Yishim, get back out of range!," she snarled. Without waiting for a response, she spun her sword in a sweeping cut- a wave of arcane force swept along the path of the blade, injuring each of the zombies slightly. Then she stepped between 2 of the creatures, out of their deadly circle...

OOC: Can't see any of the maps, but I need to move into a casting position and target the spell where it will hit the most enemies as well as avoid allies if possible. If it hits Yishim that's okay, he brought it on himself by rushing in there.

Firete shakes her head as, once again, Yishim rushes headlong into the fray. She steps around the corner so she can see the zombies and mutters a few words to make the flames emit from her fingertips.
"Don't say I didn't warn you before!" she shout as the spell takes effect, hoping she can take out the zombies without hurting anyone else.

Actions: Move, not sure where.
Standard: Blazing Starfall 1d20+5 and 1d4+5 damage

ooc: Mid-round update.

The silvery flames engulf the three corpses, as well as Yishim. One of the zombies flails wildly as it collapses, and the other two aren't much better off.

I realized Chey should have gotten the Virtue of Valor thp from the previous update.

Firete moves to V,-15 to cast a Blazing Starfall that catches the three zombies as well as Yishim. There was no way to get all three of them without attacking an ally, not targeting an ally would mean that the most hurt zombie wouldn't be attacked either, and, well, you said you didn't mind attacking Yishim. Fine by me *smirk*. Anyway, it hits all of them (wait, only three attack rolls there) including Yishim for 8 radiant damage, and the zombies take an additional 5. Brute 54 dies, triggering Chey's Pact Boon.[/sblock]

Brenwar seeing his friends have this situation under control rounds the corner to hold off the brute. He barrels into the fray hitting hard with his enchanted hammer.

Yishim shrugs off the hit from his ally and scowls at her. Sloppy work, Firete. If you happen to catch me in your spells, at least have the courtesy to miss. Let me show you how.

With that he steps back towards her, and unleashes a deafening clap of thunder which strikes both remaining zombies with powerful blows. One is pushed back, while the other stays in place next to Miranna. Miranna, of course, is unharmed as only a whisper of sound ruffles her hair. He then drops a ball of fire on the two, engulfing both in flames as they collapse to the floor.

And that's how it's done. Maybe you can write a song about it. Yishim smiles at Firete.

Chey crumbles into a squall of dirt and stone that whirls down the corridor after Brenwar. She reforms and spits a curse at the zombie as she looses a covering blast that connects square in the corpse's chest propelling gore into the corridor beyond.
She gives Brenwar a good-luck wink and jogs back to the rest of the group.

The zombie strikes back at the paladin, but Brenwar easily shrugs off the blow.

From the north east passage, two more corpses shamble into view. One of them barrels into Firete, clubbing her with its fist. The other looks like it's about to follow, but it stops suddenly.

There is a sound like howling wind as something rushes through the corridors like a ripple in the air. It flows into the zombie, who twitches for a few seconds before looking up at Firete, pinpoints of fire burning in its empty eye sockets. With a decaying hand it tears open its own stomach and reaches in, pulling out a handful of some black dripping filth. It hurls the disgusting glob at the half-elf, who feels both her health and her strength drain away at the touch.

With the sudden appearance of more zombies to the east, Chey backs off a little and levels her rod at what was once a face "You will rot away and feed the earth!" she yells sending a blast of green flame over Firete's shoulder. As the wave of emerald fire washes over it's skin, the zombies already unpleasant smell turns rancid.
