Hearing the shouts, clashes of metal and rather curious splashing sounds below, Firete turned to Chey. There just went our surprise atack, she said sadly, grabbing one of the ropes and starting to climb down to the lower level.

Whenever my turn comes back around I plan to use my weapon's ability to buff everyone's attack and damage. I just wanted to mention it since I was unsure how it worked with the combat system. It my be more beneficial for me to post first.

Cheysuli nods; agreeing with Firete's summation, yet the gleam in the warlock's eyes suggests she somewhat less dismayed than the harper.
Chey removes the ritual scroll from her pack once more, stuffs it in her cleavage for easy retrieval then grabs the rope and slides down to the chamber below after Firete.

The cowled man picks up a heavy mace and makes a series of vicious attacks at Miranna's head, but she barely manages to parry and evade them all. He directs his attention to the nearby acolyte, "Kumori, please focus." His voice is very calm, as if he weren't currently fighting for his life, and has no accent.

The woman, Kumori, moves past the nearby melee and raises her hand towards one of the collapsed skeletons. At once the pile of bones reforms into the undead warrior it recently was. She then attempts to blast Chey with a dark bolt of energy, but the tiefling ducks underneath the attack.

Bairdon grunts and hastily fires a crossbow at Brenwar. Perhaps he should have spent the time to aim, for the attack goes wide indeed. The dwarf scowls as he reloads his weapon.

The last cultist struggles against his arcane bonds as he draws a small axe from his belt. His face filled with rage, he throws the weapon at Yishim. The axe cuts deep into the wizard's arm, and the cultist sneers in triumph.

One of the skeletons looses an arrow into Firete's leg, impeding her movement. The recently reanimated one clatters up the stairs and hacks at Miranna with its sword. Miranna's attention lapses, and the skeleton is rewarded with a light wound.

T.S.O. attacks Miranna, missing by 1.

The Dark Acolyte, or Kumori, moves to I6, spends a minor to reanimate Skeleton 15, and attacks Chey, but misses with a 15 vs Reflex.

Bairdon attacks Brenwar, gaining a +2 to hit and +d6 damage against targets lacking cover. Well, that's horrible. As a minor action he reloads his crossbow.

The beserker moves to J23, draws a handaxe, and throws it at Yishim, critting for 9 damage.

Skeleton 10 draws a longbow and shoots at Firete, hitting AC 19 for 5 damage. Firete is slowed until end of the Skeleton's next turn. Skeleton 15 charges Miranna, hitting AC 26 for 5 damage. Skellington rolls.

Remember, please include at least your defenses in your posts. Also, I'm keeping track of the dead in this fight since Kumori can bring them back.[/sblock]

Brenwar charges from out of the blood pool to smash Kumori with his hammer glowing with magical flame. Kumori manages to nimbly dodge the first swing wasting the hammers magic, but Brenwar rallies and his hammer connects as she recovers from the dodge.

Firete limps forward, grimacing as the arrow smarts, holding her sword out in front of her. Brenwar, let me help you there! She shouts, the cowled figure is pulled forward on the other side of Miranna.

Miranna spun quickly to face the cowled man- once again, lightning danced along her sword as she swung, the sparks clinging briefly to the shadowy figure. An instant later, another rippling streak of electricity leapt across to the Dark Acolyte, burning her slightly.
