Last week, WotC posted the Dungeon Command (their new miniature combat board game) rulebook for free download in advance of Dungeon Command Game Day (July 21). "D&D Game Day is a one-day event spotlighting a key release -- and this year, the event celebrates the first Dungeon Command Skirmish packs: Heart of Cormyr and Sting of Lolth. Designed for two or more players, this head-to-head skirmish game will have strategists assembling war bands, taking to the battlefield of their choice, and attempting to crush the enemy!"

Download it from WotC's website here.

Good move on their part, I think. Fantasy Flight Games have been doing this with much success for years. Looks good too, I'll definitely be picking it up.

In fact, the whole non-random nature of this is a good move too. D&D Miniatures now only has underground following, but I actually thought it was a great idea. Was just so hard to build the warband you wanted without blowing hundreds of pounds... and I did. Then had no one to play it with.

I got in deep with D&D Minis. I mean, I had every mini (except for the last two sets). Loved that game and look forward to drowning in plasticrack addiction once again.
