I've not seriously considered playing a lizardfolk before.
That said, some fun things I imagine would be RPing being cold hearted and calculating, thinking in a foreign way.

I haven't really thought about roleplaying a lizardfolk before, but the interesting perspective of being something so different than what I've played before would be extremely interesting.

Perhaps racial abilities tied to poison, climbing ability, stealth. Could make for a great Rogue/Assassin-y build.
To expand a bit- playing humans is great, but playing a fantasy race is...well...fantastic. (By definition.)
Except that dwarves, elves, gnomes and even things like orcs and goblins have become less so because they are so commonly used for player races in FRPGs. So, when something new gets opened up for play...

Also, you can chase after Spider-man.
Variation, based on your world myth they can be almost anything from tragic broken dynasty that ruled the world for millions of years, to a race of draconian warriors or even a slave race of the Yuan-Ti. They can be very interesting as a playable race.

Regardless of what they claim, it will more likly be because the dev's continued the mistake of letting natural armor stack with manufactured armor into Pathfinder.
