As widely reported... well, everywhere... Marvel just announced its upcoming lineup of movies.

May 6th 2016: Captain America: Civil War

November 4th 2016: Doctor Strange (Scott Derrickson formally confirmed as director)

May 5th 2017: Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 (new release date)

July 28th 2017: Thor: Ragnarok (Tom Hiddleston will be back as Loki)

November 3rd 2017: Black Panther

May 4th 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I

July 6th 2018: Captain Marvel

November 2nd 2018: Inhumans

May 3rd 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part II

It does rise the question - what do they do after the Infinity War? Are they setting themselves up for an act they cannot themselves follow?

I think after Infinity War, if you're smart you let those characters retire and bring in a new crop of heroes, with (gasp!) new plots, perhaps even ones that haven't already been in the comics.

Obviously you'll have a new person taking up the mantle of Captain America and maybe someone new in an Iron Man suit, but (assuming they're still alive) let Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and Thor get some happily ever afters. Keep them off screens for a decade as you build your next big trilogy tentpole. Figure that after humanity beats the crap out of Thanos, the universe knows not to screw with us for a while, so we go back to more personal adventures.

I guess they are going to introduce a lot more character fast or else Civil War is not going to be that exciting with the relatively few super power persons we have seen.

That's odd - I thought most of the Avengers team were signed up to do three of their own movies and three Avengers movies. How does that work if Avengers 3&4 is a two-parter?

Also, I was kinda hoping for another Hulk movie, now they've got the casting right.
