Vampires!

Giant2005

First Post
Prepare for the Curse of Strahd by making countless vampires!

This system renders a vampire's strength directly related to their age. Young vampires are weak enough to be balanced player options, while using the same system you can create vampires worthy of the name, with the most ancient versions being able to rival the gods themselves.

The progression puts a lot of agency in your hands and vampire players and npcs alike can choose to be much closer to fighters, rogues, wizards or any fraction in between. With this system, a level 20 vampire could wield a greatsword, wear plate armor, have a sneak attack-like ability comparable to a level 13 Rogue, and be the equivalent of a 4th level caster; all at the same time without multiclassing. Or the vampire could forgo the whole lot and choose from an array of other unique, vampiric powers.

FYI, you can't see your text if the viewer is using a black background (like me). You you drop the formatting of the text it will show up properly regardless of the background.

Really like this concept by the way - added it to my wishlist.

Thanks Dave!

Regarding the unable to see the text thing, are you talking about here on Enworld or over on DMs Guild?
If you are referring to here, I have no idea why that would be. The only text formatting I used was pressing enter a few times to space things out (if you can consider that text formatting at all). I'll see if I can fix it just the same.

Well I think I have figured out the problem. I must have copy/pasted the synopsis from what I wrote on the DMs Guild website and that changed the font used from whatever Enworld's default is to Arial. I'd love to fix it but I have no idea what Enworld's default font is, nor any other font which will actually show up with a black background.

Yes, I am sure that was it. You don't have to change the font per se, just remove the formatting. You can do that by selecting all of the text then using the "Remove Format" button. The AA with the X through in the upper left of the text editor:

Thanks for the help! It should be fixed now.

Actually, it might be slightly better now - did you try to change the color, or just remove formatting? I know from experience that changing the color is not the solution (unless you go with something other than white or black).

I just clicked that button you told me to. The color seems to be the generic black that the rest of my posts show up as. In fact, when I click edit on it and do the same to another one of my posts, everything seems the same (other than the actual content). I have no idea how they could be displaying differently.
Maybe Enworld just takes a little time to update things... although I doubt that too.

I don't know. Typically if you select all of the text and hit removing formatting it revise everything to the default which shows up black on a white background and light gray on a black background. No biggie, I can read the text if I select it all. And the link shows up properly - that's the important part :)

I think I may have just screwed up. I don't think I selected all of the text when pressing the button the first time around. Hopefully it is fixed now.
