serious question:

preface: in the past people have posted "news items" such as bali bombing, columbia disintigration, etc etc. currently hong kong and other areas are suffering from the so called SARS mystery pneumonia. would an OT thread about this be shut down?

question: now, from reading the meta thread i know there will be no discussion of any political doings and happenings, but is it within the rules to post something purely informational such as "War has started turn on the TV / go to CNN.com etc". i am not personally interested in playing newshound about this topic and personally think that everyone will know from other media sources. i am asking this question because i think a clarification on this particular line would be useful. good luck all and see you on the other side!

Well, you know, as with most things in life, we can't actually stop you from doing anything. All we can do is react after it's done. Just try to think before posting and also don't be offended if we do shut some stuff down. We'll try to be as sensitive as we can be, but ultimately this site is for gaming, not for politics or world-wide news coverage.
