Spelljammer "fleet action" STLs?

I'm faintly surprised given the explosion of 3D- printing that there aren't more options for printing spacecraft of a type suitable for Spelljammer style space battles? I've seen a few (generally quite expensive & for my needs overly detailed) STLs for craft suitable for 15 or 28mm figures but very little that would be appropriate (with out major expenditure & subsequent re-scaling) for "fleet style" actions... am I missing something?

Probably two factors, jointly; lack of demand and lack of licensing. Wizards tends to protect it's licensing pretty well.

Hmm.... that hasn't stopped (all be it small number) of larger more detailed "Spelljammer type craft" and the Games Workshop universe is swamped with every proxy you can imagine... I'd concede, maybe, the lack of demand point, but it does then seem to show if not a lack of imagination at least a limitation in the market, which seems by now to be saturated (on thingiverse, minifactory & kickstarter) with Cthulhu-oids, barbarians, undead, orcs & their ilk whilst a few fantasy, 2001 or diesel punk spacecraft might seem a niche but novel breath of fresh radiation...?

Not quite the same thing, but there was a Spelljammer product called the War Captain's Companion that included cardboard standup ships so you could have the types of ship-to-ship and mass armada combats you're looking for.

There's also the factor of the designers needing to have personal interest in a project, in order to put the work in on something like that. More detailed models would be more of a challenge and, therefore, more likely to be produced as a passion project. If .STL files exist for this type of thing, they'd be scalable

Thanks, I have this and one of my ideas was to replace these cardboard counters with suitably scaled 3D printed models, but I can't find much (anything) suitable, other than occasional highly detailed (and very expensive) examples designed for 28mm figures which, also being multi-piece, would be difficult, time consuming & expensive to re-scale to replace/proxy as say a 1" counter (insert wistful faced emoji here)....
