Well, as the lyric goes, it needs to be both creepy and kooky. In other words, everything needs to have a slightly wacky, comedic feel as though nobody's taking it really seriously - but with an edge to it that suggests that if they did ever decide to be serious about it, it'd be all kinds of horrific, disturbing and/or tragic.

I feel like the adjacent graveyard would be a thing worth keeping. In the old comics, Wednesday had a pet octopus named Aristotle and Morticia a pet lion named Kitty Cat - could make for an interesting encounter.
