Ralts Bloodthorne
First Post
The group was travelling from the regional Homeland Defense office to where they had information that the terrorist group Crimson Jihaad was attempting to build a dirty bomb.
The worst part of the mission, driving through the streets, heading for the showdown. Carter was leaned back in the passenger seat, his eyes barely open, and his Glock 17 sitting on his lap. Martins had her head against the window, staring out at the dark streets they were travelling through, with darkened houses staring back with glassy eye. Her shotgun was on the floor and fully loaded.
"WHAT THE HELL!" Baker yelled, slamming on the brakes, throwing everyone against thier seatbelts.
Outside the car, close to a dozen teenaged girls had run, screaming, out of a house and into the street. One girl had her hands pressed tight to her face, supported by another girl, and Baker could see bright red blood pouring between the girl's fingers in the headlights.
Martins jumped from the car, nearly tripping over her shotgun, all thoughts of terrorists and radioactive bombs gone from her mind.
"What happened?" Martins asked one of the girls, who kept screaming. Martins grabbed the young girl and shook her, repeating her question.
"It was just a game, we didn't think she was real, it was an accident!" the girl cried out. Baker was trying to push another panicked girl out of the car window, where she was trying to climb through and into his lap.
"You didn't think who was real?" Baker asked. The girl looked through the car and began screaming again, in chorus with the rest of the girls.
Martins turned around, and there, standing in the doorway of the house, was a pale woman holding a long, curved knife. The woman had hair hair all ratted out, long, black hair, and was dressed in a nightie decades out of date.
"Who the hell is that?" Baker asked, drawing his laser-sighted Colt M1911A1.
"Drop the knife, lady!" Carter ordered, opening the door and using it for cover, settling the laser sight on the center of the woman's cleavage.
"Bloody Mary..." Martins whispered, stepping back. "It can't be. That's just a legend..."

Quick Shots is a book with 20 drop in encounters, each with 2 or more variants. These encounters can run the gamut from a quick shootout with 2 freaks in a Happy-Burger to spooky text-phone messages that go on for a week.
Maps, statblocks and enough information to drop them in, without providing too much detail to limit the encounter's usefulness, all are included. Also included are several templates, one monster, and several weapons, all OGC. Maps that can be printed out and reused for your Modern d20 campaign and a bad guy who hates one of the heroes, but is unknown by the group. All easy to use to enhance nearly any Modern d20 campaign.
Quickly adaptable to any campaign, these adventures can take a little time or several hours, depending on the GM and players.
Mission File: Alpha (Urban Legends) covers the spooky stuff your brothers told you, that your baby sitter told you of, and what was whispered around the front room.
While you told yourself it wasn't true, and never really believed any of it, can you say the same for the characters?
--QuickShots Mission File: Alpha was tested repeatedly, on everything from a jaded female gamer to a hyperactive ADD 15 year old male for enjoyment and creepiness factor.
(Only Hammerhead Matt was harmed during the testing of this product, when he got over excited and poked himself with a pencil)
