Dragonlance What Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen cover did you get?

I crit!
WotC gets a lot of crap from long-time fans, but I think overall they have a much better idea of how to market and manage the game to keep it viable and healthy, which can only be a good thing. If you hate what they're doing in 5e, the nice thing is they keep a ton of old content available via DMs Guild so they're even helping keep that portion of the hobby alive. IMO unless you have an irrational axe to grind with them, it's really hard to hate how they're treating the overall brand.
Yes. One weird phenomenon of irony is the old schoolers celebrating DMsGuild releases while thumbing their nose at WotC or WotC folk.
Which I think is a schtick now for some of them, gets them clicks and likes.

Well, sure, and that is true looking at the book above on the left; no argument.

The one on the right which is pretty much Soth's Helm and that's it? No. That branding doesn't match current trade dress. That's a deliberate choice to be it's own thing.
Haven't all of the alt-covers been unique? Notice the Eberron and Theros alt-covers don't even say "Dungeons & Dragons"

I find it interesting that WotC decided that they needed to break with the past, so much so that they chose not to use a very familiar trademark (the DragonLance logo) on this product on any of the multiple covers.

Their motives are debatable (and unless someone from WotC in the years to come explains it, inscrutable), but whatever the case, they made a deliberate and explicit choice to try and break from the old branding with this new DL product.

It is still a 5e adventure compatible with 5e at the table. It can be used as a 5e adventure for any setting if one wants, or for Dragonlance.

It has Dragonlance prominently emblazoned upon it so it isn't some hidden secret, but there is no reason to have it differentiated from the rest of the 5e line either.

Supposed to get the Soth cover, but my order is tied up awaiting the board game release.

Very frustrating, B&G's late Spelljammer release caused issues with the SJ game I ran (had to get the Beyond version), and now this has put any hope of a DL game on hold - and this time I'm not buying the Beyond version.

Ah, that makes sense. TBH, I hadn't noticed that until just now, either.
I didn't notice it until I made that post. I actually have hard copies of both and want to check and verify it.

EDIT: I just checked and neither book says "Dungeons and Dragons" on the front or back covers. They both have it on the spine though.
