personal disasters and the god of fire(ot)

First Post
well, bad weekend here at the potters house. the arch collapsed on the kiln i built (bad bricks, good design) and that leaves me with very few options.

today, i go into town to get a haircut  and begin looking for a real job  for the first time in 10 years.

i am including some pics for those of you who have never seen melted bricks or wood fired pots. these pots are very much like what your characters would use :)

I am so Sorry alsih2o. That bites. You are my favorite potter. Heck, you're even better than Harry! Real jobs are not much fun. What kind of jobs are you looking for?

i really have no clue. i haven't worked for someone else directly since 1992.

i don't even know how much people with real jobs earn, and as an artist i am qualified to do crap in the "real world" bag groceries? deliver pizzas? i am kinda clueless. what does an "unskilled" worker earn nowadays?

Hey Alish2o, how much for that pot with the melted brick running down the side of it?

bs5, i have plenty like it here, you are free to come get all of them you want. however shipping would be expensive, as they have lots of melted bricks in them too.

have you considered working for another potter?

mark of the potter in north ga. is a pretty cool place.

i did 3 apprenticeships, but moving at this point would mean leaving the wife, and i am not that desperate :)

Hmm, that's a bit of a trip to get some kewl pottery though alish2o. How expensive could it be for shipping, gimme an estimate.
