D&D 5E Dragonix's Deadly Denizens Volume II is NOW AVAILABLE at DrivethruRPG!

DDD June 2023 Issue Art Preview #6: Another drake joins the Volume I lineup! The Deep Drake is a fearsome predator that uses echolocation to navigate through the dark subterranean world. It can also let out a devastating sonic blast that can shatter bone and leave prey stunned, if not dead. Also, there are 2 more new drakes coming out in Volume I!

Expect the June issue to come out Sunday, June 4!

In the meantime, here are a couple more art previews for Volume I: the Infernal Manticore and the Owlbear Vrykolakas!

I noticed you said DriveThru and not DMsGuild.

What does that mean for statblocks - do they have to be a different format..

Yes, that is right. I used the SRD and not the DM's Guild license this time.

The format remains the same. I just can't use anything that is specific to Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, etc. Also can't use creatures, mechanics, and spells that aren't part of the SRD (illithids, beholders, carrion crawler, etc.).

DMs Guild only exists to use a narrow set of WotC IP.

DriveThruRPG (which uses the same log-in, same library, same wishlists, etc.) has a ton of D&D stuff (for all editions) that doesn't use that IP. And it gives the creators a much larger (and fairer) cut of the sales.

I am aware. I just couldn't remember if the statblock was considered trade-dress or something that wasn't covered under the SRD.

Ah, I get what you mean. The structure would more or less be similar to what I did with the MME books, but the colors will be different (just grays and blacks, as seen in the SRD). Though the font colors will still be the same (as used in the SRD).
