D&D (2024) Comeliness and Representation in Recent DnD Art

Comeliness (or Hideousness) works better as a feat than an ability.

Something like, when targets are in line of sight within range, one gains advantage to Persuasion checks (or Intimidation), and inflicts disadvantage to Charm effects (or Fear).

I think the level of threat that 5e adventurers are expected to survive limit the usage of images of the obviously disfigured, out of shape, or poorly aged.

Unless you are displaying how is saved or who fails to save other or themselves.

Especially since almost every PC has 14 in at least 1 of their 3 physical scores.

All art representing PCs should be within the ranges of attractive or appealing (and of various ethnicities and PC species) in some way, it's all about selling the idealized vision of what a character should look like.
If that's what its all about, that kinda fights against the concept of representation though, doesn't it?

If professional athletes don't have to be conventionally beautiful and if soldiers can be "big boned" (like one of the dudes I worked with in group was supposedly too overweight to be in the Army but he maxed every fitness test a Special Forces soldier was given) then so can our fictional heroes in the dragon game be not beautiful by most measures
