Someone over on RPGnet noticed that Goodman Games quietly deleted past statements condemning the younger Bledsaw's views and pledging not to work with them, along with removing notes at the bottom of remaining JG products to donate portions of the proceeds to charity.

A little bit of sleuthing on the Internet Archive sadly made this look a good bit worse to me. At some point after August 2024, Goodman Games quietly deleted their statement condemning Bledsaw Jr.'s views and pledging not to work with him.

More than that, though, at some point between 2023 and 2024, they removed a note at the bottom of those remaining Judge's Guild products they were selling that promised to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity. Here is the page for Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor in 2023. Note the prominent "A portion of the proceeds from sales of this title will be donated to charitable causes" pledge at the bottom. Here is the same page a year later. Note that the promise is gone. The same pattern and timing holds for all the other products lumped into the Judges Guild category, including the ones that kicked off the controversy the first time around.

Combined with some rumblings that this release has been in the works for a while, I am left wondering whether money has already started funneling that way—perhaps even while the promise to sever ties was still up on their site.

Edit: The website had a recent update, so the URL addresses are different. GG's statement re: the Bledsaws is still up.

The Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor still has the charity claim removed from what I can see.

I do hope Rascal is on this and gets Goodman to explain himself more fully. If he decided to do this years ago, what changed? Was it just the prospect of publishing CSIO? Did the Bledsaws tell him they'd changed? Is all the money going to the ADL or something?

I worry it was just the chance to publish more JG stuff, which certainly doesn't seem to be worth it.

This conversation isn't just happening here -- every one of their social media accounts has people demanding explanations.

I understand your point, but when it comes to someone following individuals who are primarily known for a certain type of commentary (Owens, Andrew Tate, Alex Jones, et. al), I will admit I'm not inclined to go out of my way looking for nuance. Owens' hatefulness isn't some deep, obscure lore. It's the main thing she's known for. You're not following someone like that for their cooking tips.

Hate watching is a thing. I do not do it but I know a lot of folks who do.

the statement was from 2020, supposedly they have been working on CSIO for 3 years, in which case they did not take long to change their minds

That's not quite right.

The statement is still up. Their website recently did an update so the address is different. Their video on YouTube with Jennell Jaquays is still up as well.
