The Table of Contents for both Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun.

Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.

I like to consider how many pages are spent on what sorts of things. There's a lot more lore in the player's book than I would have expected, which is great for me.

Campaign Book

Running the Realms, 6 pages
Adventures, 32 pages!
Dalelands, 45 pages!
Icewind Dale, 38 wasted pages
Calimshan, 32 pages
Moonshae, 29 pages
Baldur's Gate, 35 pages of Karlach goodness
Lost Library of Lethchauntos (an adventure?), 15 pages
magic items, 5 pages
monsters, 38 pages

I definitely would have preferred 80 pages on other locations than Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate. Thay would have been great. Maybe some other area relatively untouched in the past 30 years.

Player's Guide:

Character Options, 32 pages
Guide to the Realms, 48 pages
Gods of Faerun, 33 pages
Whole Realms Catalog, 7 pages
Magic, 11 pages
Factions, 39 pages

A lot more lore in the player's guide than I expected. The guide and gods sections look plenty useful for GMs.

In the paragraph about Phandalin it talks about what's going on below the town, specifically the Shattered Obelisk and who's collecting it.
I mean, thst is not a significantly bigger spoiler than the cover of my special edition...

It actually seems more like a tease than a big spoiler of specific details.
