We've got a bow. My girlfriend's parents have been giving us totes and boxes full of stuff of her's that they'd like to get out of their basement, and into ours now that we're homeowners (oh joy) and along with my GF's various ornaments and stuff was a little paper angel she made in grade school that has one of the little wallet sized school photos of her from the time glued in as the face.

I tried to get her to use that one but she said no. We've been looking at some stars and stuff though. Perhaps we'll find a nice one after the holidays on sale that we can stash away for next year.

Got a tree that won't stand straight, no matter what you do to it? Add Randy Orton RKO out of nowhere!

One year, when my boys were young teenagers/pre-teens and had an absolute hate for anything Pokemon relayed, I secretly saved a Happy Meal bag that had Jigglypuff on it, and after everyone else had gone to bed Christmas Eve, I crept back into the living room with a cut-out Jigglypuff and placed it at the top of the tree. (I kept the bottom of the bag attached and cut a hole in it, so it could be held in place.)

We opened our Christmas presents the next morning, ate our breakfast, and it wasn't until we were seeing what was in our stockings (we traditionally hold that off until after breakfast) that my oldest son noticed just who was on top of the tree, roared, "Oh Hell no!" and ripped poor Jigglypuff to shreds.
