Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

What??

Do you really think people would want that?

Sue is married.

I know some go for adultery in movies, but that's not really something I think a majority really want to go watch.
I don't think there's much chance Sue will cheat on Reed. But Namor -- who doesn't exactly have a lot of love for surface dwellers, as well as being a god king of his people -- is definitely going to try.

Namor is supposed to be a character that audiences are conflicted about and trying to steal Sue away from Reed is part of that.

If that theory is correct, this (the "follow the clues" marketing campaign) is even dumber than it appears.

My understanding is that (some versions of?) Kang is literally related to Reed Richards?
That's probably it. Maybe that's Immortus or someone. Pre-MCU, I only periodically checked in with Avengers comics, as they varied wildly in quality before Kurt Busiek rebooted them after Heroes Reborn (a Marvel event I hope the MCU never touches with a 10 foot pole).

Isn't there a Kang variant/separate villain who is explicitly related to Doom in some fashion?
Kang is generally said to be descended from Reed’s dad Nathaniel, but it’s also been implied he’s descended from Doom and from Kristoff. Assuming either of the latter two ever have biological children, it’s perfectly possible for all three to be his ancestors, of course, especially given how much time they and their families/entourages all spend together.
