She's probably the most life like I've seen. They said they hope she can be a daily companion. I wonder what her speaking abilities are like. Can she communicate naturally? 70 lbs. seem really light.

"DroidUp plans to release Moya commercially by the end of the year, for a starting price of 1.2 million yuan ($173,000). But before you whip out your credit card, you should know that the company plans to target healthcare and education facilities first."

Okay, let's be perfectly frank. There is exactly one feature that early adopters are looking for in a "biomimetic robot". One very specific feature. Healthcare and education are not it.

None of the articles answer the question everyone wants to know. So my assumption is that means the answer is "no", or they'd be advertising it. Which means this is not the robot people will buy.

Assasination? As in...Assassination Droid?

OR is it as in Protocol...Like C3PO.

I could use a Protocol Droid...years ago before I retired.

Oh...wait...I got it...They want companionship. As in, someone to talk to? Long drives, Airplane flights, Train travel...that sort of thing where instead of listening to the Radio you have someone that can talk to you while you travel?

And it's just talking...not other stuff.

Right?

What will Siri do if that happens though?

right there in the article Moya is warm to the touch and can be "flexibly configured according to different scenarios such as business, healthcare, and companionship"

looks like we're going to get Cherry 2000 before Skynet takes over
