930 titles!? Where does one start?

Also, what counts as a solo RPG? I ask because I want to make one that can be played solo, but can also be multi-player, and can support social activity for an  unlimited number of players.

930 may sound like a lot and on the one hand it is but on another there are still thousands of solo and duet games out there! You can start by using our search function :D

Most group TTRPGs can be played solo, you just need to find a way to play it that way. Those who are interested in that tend to use a GM Emulator like Mythic, which provides game loops, roll tables, oracles, or whatever else you might need. Otherwise there are games that are made for solo only or solo-first, which means they were made to be played solo but there are rules so you can play with more people—with or without a GM. Ironsworn or Ironsworn: Starforged by Shawn Tomkin is a good example of this.

I wish you good luck with your game!
