Hey everyone Frog overlord here,
We are back with a long awaited sequel to one of our first card games - Mythos Rising! A lovecraftian experience, where you must face off against crazed cultists and ancient beings that exist beyond our own reality or forever risk losing your sanity.
Mythos Rising: The Broken Circle
Story
As an investigator for the Midsummer Institute you've fought cultists and battled entities from beyond our reality. Now, you face a more local threat.
You've been sent to a rural town in Texas 1940 to root out a coven of dark shapeshifters called the Broken Circle. Infused with ancient magic and aided by corrupted humans, they are formidable foes.
That's okay. You've got your .38 police special, magic paraphernalia, and your wits. This should be easy, right?
Will you defeat the evil before it consumes the town or will you lose your mind in the battle?

Themes
Much like the first Mythos Rising, we have leaned heavily into the cosmic horror style with enemies such as Skinstitchers & The Coven and events involving rituals, cleansing of locations and hidden secrets that can be uncovered upon exploration. Not only that, with the location set in 1940s Texas we've taken inspiration from real life American Indian legends of the time and tried to stay as historically accurate as possible.
If you love Lovecraftian horror (In a non herectic loving way) then you will find Mythos Rising is for you.
Cards
The entire game runs off a standard deck of 52 playing cards. In the back of the rulebook are 8-10 pages where all the cards are seperated by suits and the meanings of said cards are listed on them. For every game we create, including this one, we create a custom bespoke deck which includes all the information already on the card ontop of a unique design. This not only streamlines the game, allowing you to simply draw and play, but looks good on the table!
