Just to explain this a bit:

1 joule is the energy needed to lift 1 apple (of 100 grams) up by 1 meter.

The 10-8 means 10 to the power of -8 (10^-8).

So if you have 100 000 000 or 100 million times as much energy as the one mentioned there, you could lift 2.77 apples up by 1 meter.
