Deadly Denizens Vol. IV March Art Preview #2: Serving as our second art preview for the month of March and rooted in traditional Balkan folklore, the Bauk is a terrifying fey creature descended from bugbears whose blood has been irrevocably warped by centuries spent in the gloom of the Shadowfell.
Resembling a gaunt, misshapen ape with elongated arms and shadow-matted fur, this spiteful predator moves with a sickeningly ungainly gait to silently stalk its prey through caves, dark ruins, sewers, and dim forests.
Though inherently skittish around bright campfires and loud noises, these solitary hunters project an unsettling aura of dread, lunging from the darkness to snatch unwary travelers and village children before vanishing back into the gloom.

Deadly Denizens Vol. IV March Art Preview #3: For the third art preview of March, I am showcasing the Binangunan (bee-nah-NGU-nahn), a destructive, hulking fire demon rooted in Philippine folklore that materializes whenever sacred grounds are defiled or ancient prohibitions are ignored. It has a devastating combat combo where it uses its Doomfire Gaze that frightens victims. While frightened in this way, targets gain fire vulnerability, which perfectly sets them up to be punished by the binangunan's Volcanic Surge and persistent Fire Aura.

Dragonix's Deadly Denizens Volume IV April Art Preview #1. Here's the first art preview for the April issue of Dragonix's Deadly Denizens, featuring the return of the sea giant-kin. To clearly distinguish these Large giants from standard Huge giants in the new 5.5e format, I have renamed them sea giant-kin. This batch will introduce a variety of warrior, boss, and spellcaster archetypes. On a side note, when I revisit and update the previous giants from the earlier Deadly Denizens series to 5.5e, I will rename them to giant-kin as well to maintain this standard.

Deadly Denizens Vol. IV April Art Preview #2: This month’s 2nd art preview features the Kludde, a malevolent creature drawn from Belgian folklore, long feared as a night-roaming horror that haunts lonely roads, crumbling ruins, and fog-drenched forests. Tales describe it as an omen of unease, encountered by travelers who stray into desolate places where the silence feels unnatural.
The Kludde takes the form of a monstrous blend of hound and fiendish bat, with a thick, muscular, near-humanoid frame covered in coarse, dark fur and carried on elongated, clawed limbs. Its wide, leathery wings stretch outward with a deep crimson membrane that catches the moonlight, framing a gaping maw lined with jagged teeth and a pair of gleaming eyes locked in a relentless, predatory stare.
