Hi all,

Prepping a FR campaign (D&D Encounters season adventures utilising the 5e ruleset) by reading the six novels in the series the title of this thread, and have come across the attached, excellent piece associated with the event, which my AI agent suggests has been fan formulated.

May I request assistance with the identification of the nine characters on the second row as have identified the heroes on the front row (as evident in the annotations)?

If I had to guess, I suspect the white-haired woman to the far left might be Storm Silverhand.

Edit: the Red Wizard is Umara Ankhlab, and I suspect the blond boy standing in front of her is probably Stedd Whitehorn.

Another edit: I would have assumed that the blonde woman next to Elminster wearing red was intended to be Amarune, but I thought she was supposed to have dark hair?

Another other edit: cloaked woman in purple to Drizzt's left could be Ruqiah maybe?

Hi Humble,

Appreciate your input, mate. I think Storm Silverhand checks out, but it's strange that she wasn't positioned next to Elminster given their relationship in The Herald. I also agree with you in respect of the Red Wizard, that seems like a lock! Not sure about Stedd Whitehorn, doubly so in respect of Amarune, and Ruqiah is also just a 'maybe' from me.

It's somewhat peculiar because it seems that none of the characters from the novels appear as NPCs in the adventures, which has lovely portraits, but I accept that the novels follow the Chosen-level protagonists and the adventures provide the street-level consequences, at least for the two, core adventures: MiBG and LotCS.

If the FR wiki is to be believed (it sources portraits from this art piece for its pages on some of the Sundering characters), the woman in red next to Elminster is in fact Arietta rather than Amarune, the dark-haired guy 2nd from the left is Dahl, and the one with the shield in front of Cale is Vasen.

I have no idea whatsoever about the two to the far right. I'd almost suspect the taller one would be Drasek Riven, but he's not wearing an eyepatch so that doesn't work.

I see what you mean for Arietta Seasilver, the FR wiki has the same image, likewise with Dahl Peredur. However, I would agree to rightly question their accuracy as Dahl and Arietta have no connection to The Sundering from what I can gather. It seems Vasen Cale has the shield and he's the only one holding one, and Drasek Riven is not wearing an eyepatch as you say.

The other lineup the FR wiki has in respect of the The Sundering actually shows Coran, an elf-adventurer from the MiBG adventure (eye-mask behind Elminster) so whoever is making this art has conflated a NPC in one of the two core adventures with the characters in the novel. Looks like no one is really fact-checking that site, so willing to consider it of little value.
