[QUOTE="Snarf Zagyg, post: 8892134, member: 7023840"] RENTON, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 12, 2022-- A new edition of Dungeons & Dragons comes alive as Wizards of the Coast, a division of Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS), reveals upcoming plans for an updated and thoroughly modern license to benefit customers, fans, and a vibrant third party community. Hasbro executive, and longtime roleplayer, Eric Nyman, is pleased to announce that along with the eagerly awaited new edition of Dungeons & Dragons, called One D&D, which will be fully compatible with the award-winning and best-selling Fifth Edition, Hasbro will be unveiling an eagerly-awaited new licensing agreement. "I realize that there has been a lot of uncertainty in the community regarding how Hasbro could ensure that Dungeons & Dragons would remain not only the iconic roleplaying game, but remain free of racist, exist, homophobis, trans-phobic, bigoted and discriminatory content," said Nyman. "Since announcing that there would be an updated license to better service the fan community and our partners last year, we've been hard at work getting the details set so that Dungeons & Dragons will continue to be responsible for the amazing content you've come to know and love. We are striving to make sure that the balance of providing continued great content under the Dungeons & Dragons brand, while also allowing our community to continue producing the fan content that they are famous for, to continue." Nyman added, "There have been reports of a prior licensing agreement - let me assure you, do not pay attention to the rumors. Attention will be paid, and the community will not be let down. This past week has brought its share of challenges, and resulted in serious soul-searching. Please know that our great gaming community deserves better than to be enraged by ugly innuendo." Hasbro expects to continue working closely with its trusted partners, and to announce further details of its exciting new Dungeons & Dragons edition, as well as licensing possibilities, shortly.
