Very few classes can't take a 1 level multiclass dip. Actually your usually fine with 2 unless you have an awesome level 20 endcap ability... Monks don't so you should have no problem. Also, your not strictly losing anything until you reach level 20 when you unable to gain levels and still don't have your capstone ability, but since you will have been using the cleric level the entire time, many campaigns don't make it past level 15 anyway, and many of the campaigns that do make it past 12-15 to level 20, stop at level 20. The only way you will actually regret this choice is if your group does enough post 20 content to off set the amount of time you played up to level 20, which would be fairly uncommon but it happens. On top of the best class abilities are at level 18 not level 20. So if you think it would be fun, I would say don't stress any 1 level dip unless your actually starting a campaign at level 15-20 with intent to continue beyond 20. Every level you dip after the first is a important consideration and if your a full caster taking more than 3 is painful but Monk is not a full caster.
