OK, I thought this was going to be another "seen that a million times" kind of 'zine, but like the others that I like (Christians being one of them), your approach of "this is how I do it" is what I like reading.

So I liked how you told your line of thinking/approach, your inspirations, and how you cobbled it together. The only thing I would like to see more of is how you synethesized the mechanics. It sounded like you used SW exclusively as your "core", is that correct? Are there any other mechanics tweaking you have done, or are thinking of doing?

Thats what I would like to see, plus your reasoning behind whatever direction you go with your decisions.

First, I'd like to say that I'm recovering from the cold. So I'm sorry if I'm incoherent! :p

Thanks for the feedback! :D Yes, Iridia 'zine is an inspiration!

Unfortunately, I have only 2 pages to work with in the 'zine. :heh:

In the game, yes, SW was the base system. Each other D20 book PC was "converted" to SW, but there seemed to be very little change because for the most part I left the Feats and Skills the same per D20 book, figuring that I could "hand-wave" away any difficulty with getting them to work together. Each PC had the SW Vitality and Wounds scores, which kinda matched some of the other D20 books, and (because they are the same character) they were pretty close to each other. Each player had their specific game book in front of them so they could reference it as necessary and I was determined to keep the game going in any problem, so I synthesized the mechanics completely off the top of my head as necessary.

I want to provide a good game for the players. So that's what I work towards.

I'm hoping to show the readers ideas of what to do and hopefully inspire them to put good games together. In some ways, game mechanics aren't all that important because if you are familiar with the system (D20, GURPS or whatever) then any problem specifics can be handled by the GM's experience. I can see the D20 Multi-verse game idea being converted to other systems with little difficulty: for GURPS, just have each PC with the same stats, most of the same advantages and disadvantages, and change the skills around a bit. This can also be done for BESM, WoD, or any other system, too.

Again, my choice of only going with 2 pages limits how much space I have and I hope to "get better" at the whole writing-thing, improving my descriptions and including more stuff.

I hope that you will continue reading my 'zine and let me know if you have any more questions.

THanks!

/BC
