Hi all! I'm starting this thread not for statblocks, but just general outlines of people your PCs might encounter or read about in the Korranberg Chronicle. 1. Nedin Masay (human male ftr5), and 2. Narrak Masay (human male ftr5), aka the Aturian Brothers. This duo of upper-class socialites fits right in at their home of Atur (in the kingdom of Karrnath), with its active nightlife. It would be easy to dismiss them as court fops if not for their skill at arms (give them Combat Expertise feats, and even use the Swashbuckler class if you have Complete Warrior) and easily-perturbed egos. Luckily for the many boorish people who offend the Aturian brothers, they enjoy a battle of wits as much as a clash of blades, and anyone with the brains to play along can usually escape a confrontation with nothing more than a wounded reputation. 3. Bryn Fowler (Khoravar female exp3), House Medani inquisitive. Wearing her thin-rimmed spectacles and with her dark blond hair tied back in a bun, Bryn could easily be confused for a local librarian at first glance. Though she has a long way to go to become a Master Inquisitive, Bryn is starting to make headlines thanks to her uncanny knack for tracing criminals back to their sources - bust some thugs, and she'll find the mastermind. Many police officials and reporters from the Korranberg Chronicle have asked what her secret is, but she's keeping mum. Rumor has it that her method, whatever it is, somehow involves her connections to House Sivis. 4. Xikk-tlap, (thri-kreen male pianist), 5. Ghaargan Kesch, (bugbear male bassist), 6. Honeydew (elven female vocalist), 7. Thuddlemacher Herbelek (gnome male trumpet player), and 8. Hammer (warforged drummer), aka Jitter Bug and the Lightning Jumpers. In the aftermath of the Last War, demand for entertainment has increased by leaps and bounds. Houses Phiarlan and Thuranni are doing brisk trade, but they by no means have a monopoly on the arts. Xikk-tlap and his band of misfits travel all across Khorvaire playing bebop, swing, and the blues, selling out famous orchestra halls as easily as hole-in-the-wall taverns. Nobles (particularly those from different nations) will often invite each other to a Lightning Jumpers show as a pretext for negotiations, leading to the rise of the term 'jitterbug diplomacy'. So, what are some characters that you've got in mind for Eberron? Let's hear about 'em!
