101 Uses for Evards Black Tentacles

Golandrinel

First Post
I loved this spell as thief/mage many years back. (I'm still not at the 3e PHB spells section yet so I don't know if it's still around).

I'll start the ball rolling with:

1) Cast to make an enraged octopus an amourous one.

2) Make your cardgame a wow with the natives .... what a dealer.

3) DM - "The bandit leaps onto the carriage and cracks the whip. The horses bolt and hurtle off." .... oh no you don't ... the axle snaps as the tentacles grab onto it and the bandit ends up on butt.

4) Running a puppet show? Not enough hands ... ta da!

5) Same as 4 for cooking a banquet.

Cast at a drow wizard (no save, no SR), let tentacles rip him to bits, and watch.

Same thing but with human rogue (monk works too). Evasion this!

Golandrinel, the example with the carriage axles is phenomenal! I will be clipping that one.

others:

12)cast at bottom of a shallow murky pool, and maneuver foes to cross it. Excellent chance of drowning. :)

13) cast it to entangle as many opponents as possible, denying them their DEX bonus, and then casting a reflex save spell.
