Message: <blockquote data-quote="Particle_Man" data-source="post: 1485014" data-attributes="member: 892">Just picked up the last issue of 1602.  My God, what a well-written comic book.  The characters were the ones I wanted to see in a Marvel comic, but usually don't.  THIS is how smart Reed Richards should be (he not only is centuries ahead of his time scientifically, he logically deduces that his universe is affected by the narrative principle!).  THIS is how devious, arrogant and insane Dr. Doom should be.  And THIS was a Nick Fury I could get behind, all the way.  I wouldn't mind seeing Gaiman doing a "Fury and Rojhaz in the (now alternate?) future" series.And all the while, Gaiman remained true to the histories and "Feel" of the Marvel universe, down to the dystopian future.The only disappointment I had with the book was at the end of issue 7, when it said "to be concluded".  I had not known that it would be only an 8 issue series.Mind you, I didn't pick up on the Queen reference with Viginia Dare.  Was her character copied from a royal in the Marvel universe?  I thought she was the shapechanger from the original Alpha Flight, but don't know nearly enough of that character's background (Snowbird, was it?).Anyone know what comics project Gaiman is working on next?</blockquote>
