Specifically, it's the 200th anniversary of the publication of Die Kinder und Hausmärchen (Children's and Household Tales), Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm's collection of the best fairy tales of their age.


Thought it'd be nice to start a topic on this. So among the tales, which is your favortie?

been a while since I read my english copy. I think I still have it from when i was a kid.

I remember the tale of 2 twins. One went out and did stuff, married a princess, then disappeared. The other came looking for him, got mistaken for his brother by the princess, and had to sleep with her. he put a sword between them in the bed.

Later, his brother came back, though his brother banged his girl, and killed him. Then he found out what really happened and felt bad about it. Somehow, he got the brother raised, if I recall.

Grimm's game was very munchkin it seems.
