Questions for the d20 Apoc designers I'm eagerly anticipating d20 Apocalypse, but I'm concerned about the relatively small size--96 pages seems awfully short. I'm wondering if one of the designers can comment on what will be included, perhaps a Table of Contents? I'll understand if an NDA keeps you quiet, of course. I also have a few specific questions/comments (if you're allowed): -Will there be rules for Bartering? If so, will they still involve a Wealth bonus mechanic? While I feel the Wealth mechanic is a phenomonal way to abstract credit cards, salaries, and all-around purchasing power in a Modern (or Future) setting, it seems to me that a character's wealth in a post-apocalyptic setting would be far more similar to D&D--you've got what you can carry on your back and if you need something else you better have something specific you can trade for it. I've read the bartering rules in d20 Future and while they still work, I guess I'm hoping for something different. -How many Occupations will be listed? -I naturally assume there will be rules for mutations and radiation in d20 Apoc, am I correct? If so, will the same rules from d20 Future be reprinted in d20 Apoc? Will the d20 Future material be expanded upon (more mutations)? I'd personally prefer they be reprinted so I can get all my post-apoc stuff from one book, though I can understand the point of view of those who'd disagree. -Will there be overlap between d20 Future and d20 Apoc in terms of gear/weapons? -Will there be rules for simulating differences in various cultures' technological levels? For example, will there be ways to reflect how a tribal type of culture wouldn't have Computer Use and the like while the residents of Vault 13 would? -Speaking of which, how many of the designers know and love the Fallout games? How well will d20 Apoc be able to support the Fallout setting? I'm guessing that 96 pages means no specific setting will be detailed, which is totally reasonable, but I REALLY would love to run a Fallout game.
