This round the top vote-getter was the D&D Player's Kit (again, mostly because it tread on already traveled ground) followed by Races of the Dragon (with some comments about too many new races). For 3rd with had a tie between Dragons of Faerûn (some felt that so many dragons ijn such detail was a waste of space when they would be used so rarely) & Tome of Magic: Pact, Shadow, and Truename Magic (many had issues with the play balance of the book, much of it being considered underpowered). Given the number of products left, I'm just removing both.

Vote for the product you think least deserves to be on the "WotC's best D&D products of 2006" list. Again, I implore everyone to vote based on the product's virtues, rather than any side agendas (such as campaign world, cover artists, etc). This time the top 2 vote-getters will be removed.

Well, oddly enough, I get plenty of use out of PHBII, but of the listed products that remain that I own, it's the one that gives me the most grief. The spells, feats, and retraining are great, but the latest four entries from the core class mill range from tepid (knight) to overpowered and inflexible (duskblade).

Read my lips: NO. NEW. CLASSES.

It's coming again next month in Dungeonscapes *lol*. JOURNEYMAN!

Yes, I agree, enough with the new classes already. Specifically because the ONLY new class given any sort of support material are the Expanded Psionics Handbook classes and the Warlock. If WotC wants to create a new class then support it, don't write it and forget about it and leave it in the hands of Dragon Magazine to pick up.

I ended up voting this round - for Player's Guide to Eberron. I hope I didn't confuse this with another product, but is this the one that introduced Raptorials and other such silly races to Eberron? And also gave away huge spoilers to players in a player's book?

Note that there's confusion around statements like "everything has a place in Eberron", compounded because Keith Baker and WotC don't see eye-to-eye on every issue, and while WotC is official, the fans prefer Keith Baker's responses. (To make a long story short, just because an Eberron product introduces a silly race, the GM shouldn't feel any obligation to use them. Furthermore, while Eberron can have a place for anything, that doesn't mean it has to accept everything.)

Heh, last time I voted for the one I liked the most. Oops. :o
Anyways, Down with Dragonmarked! Crazy PrCs and the contrast of what it could have been compared to what it really was marks this one off the list for me.

Heh, I love the "Fantastic Locations" series. Different strokes and all that I guess... I voted for Cityscapes to be booted, because it was a potentially very useful supplement that failed to deliver.
